CCLP staff work on three main areas of juvenile justice reform: (1) reducing unnecessary and inappropriate incarceration of young people in trouble with the law; (2) for youth who are incarcerated, ensuring that they are held under safe and humane conditions; and (3) reducing racial and ethnic disparities affecting youth in the juvenile justice system. The new Staff Attorney will work in these areas and will provide technical assistance to jurisdictions working to achieve these goals.
